[Letter addressed to the Secretary of the Spiritual Assembly]

I would like to take this opportunity to extend New Year Greetings to the Bahá’i Community in our City.

I am very much aware of the excellent work carried out by members of the Baha’i faith in promoting social cohesion and anti-discrimination. The Baha’i faith in many ways embodies the spirit of community cohesion and I commend the community’s outlook on life and the proactive work you do in the inter-faith and anti-discriminatory fields and believe others should learn from your example when working to promote inclusiveness. I believe that the Baha’i community can continue to contribute to the lives of the wider Derry society and I look forward to assisting you in whatever way I can during my term in office as Mayor.

With best wishes for a peaceful and happy Naw-Ruz.
Yours sincerely,

COUNCILLOR HELEN QUIGLEY
MAYOR.
